Information You Submit
Names, phone numbers, or addresses entered in a search form are sent to the third-party results provider. Our servers do not retain those searches. A message sent directly to us is read only to respond to its contents.
Automatic Technical Data
Standard hosting logs can include an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps maintain the site and measure page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
Reasons for Using Data
Data is used to operate the service, diagnose faults, count visits, and improve content. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Indiana's Consumer Data Protection Act, effective January 1, 2026, gives qualifying consumers rights to know, correct, delete, obtain, and opt out of certain uses of personal data by covered controllers. Statutory exemptions apply. Because very little data is kept here, a request generally means checking contact mail and server logs, then removing responsive data when required. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Seymour, Jackson County, or Indiana offices remain with their custodians and are governed separately by the Indiana Access to Public Records Act, IC 5-14-3, and record-specific confidentiality laws.
Policy Changes
Revisions will appear here. Continued use after publication of a revision means the updated policy applies.
